Amigo Friendship Program

During your time in Atlanta, wouldn’t it be nice to have a local American friend who could help you get to know the city and invite you to a meal? Sign up for the Amigo Friendship Program and you will be matched with an Atlanta family or individual who will invite you to get together for a meal, event, or outing.  It's up to you whether you would like to meet again and continue the friendship after the initial meeting.

After you sign up, you will receive an email from the AMIS Office with the information about your Amigo friend. Depending on the time of year, this can take several weeks. Your Amigo friend will email you to invite you to a restaurant for a meal, their home (for a group gathering), or to attend an event such as a concert, sporting event, or group outing.

Be sure to join our mailing list to find out what else AMIS is doing.

"Me and my amigo have many similarities. She is my age for the start. Sometimes I feel she is my other half, same thoughts, same living style and even same food preferences. She is the best girlfriend I could ask for here in USA.

Thank you so much AMIS for giving me the opportunity to be friends with someone like Kelly."

"I celebrated Easter with my Amigo Family. There were so many relatives there, and we talked a lot. The foods were amazing and they gave me Easter cake too. And I got an Easter basket!"
